Allergies/ Food Sensitivity

What is An Allergy?
An allergy is an abnormal response to a "normal" substance. An allergic person has an altered immune response to substances which would normally not be harmful. Symptoms vary from person to person, both in range and severity. Not all reactions are immediate. Symptoms can occur up to 72 hours or more after exposure to the allergen, and can last for several days once they occur.

NOTE: A reaction does not necessarily occur with the first exposure to the allergen: Substances which have not previously caused a problem can cause symptoms at any time. You may react to inhalants, contact irritants, drugs or foods.

What Symptoms Can be a Result of Allergy or Food Sensitivity?
> Itchy eyes, runny nose, sneezing, scratchy throat,
> Bloating, diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal pain
> Difficulty breathing, wheezing,
> Itchy skin, swelling, hives, rashes, eczema, psoriasis
> Water retention, headaches, aching joints and muscles
> Brain fog, inability to focus
> Chronic fatigue
> Coma, death
> Binge eating, water retention, excess or underweight
> Many autoimmune diseases (Lupus, MS, Hoshimoto's Thyroid Disease, Celiac, Rheumatoid Arthritis) often have a food reactivity involvement

How are Allergens Identified?

There are many options today for allergy testing, but they are often costly, time consuming and vary in reliability. As part of my Detox programs, people often identify foods that they ate every day that they had no idea were causing aches and pains, water retention, digestive issues, and foggy brain. Elimination diets work best when you are highly motivated. They are a hard sell for children and foodies.

Can I Eliminate Allergic Reactions?

Traditional treatments include avoidance; antihistamines, steroids or oral medications; allergy shots and immunotherapy (with potential of some serious side effects) to desensitize the response to allergens. Delayed food reactions fall into a different category and produce

To Reduce Allergic Response Naturally:

> Wash Away Initiators: Irrigate the nostrils with saline solution using a spray, netti pot or Nasaline to wash away pollens several times a day.

> Mediate Allergic Response: Herbs and supplements (e.g. freeze dried nettle, quercetin) that reduce histamine response which leads to unpleasant symptoms can provide temporary relief. These do not have the side effects that can come with drug interventions for symptoms.

> Fix the Digestion Connection: Work to improve digestion and repair a "leaky gut" that allows swallowed inhalants and reactive foods to enter the blood stream through this portal. Aloe, pre and probiotics, HCL if low, enzymes, herbs and nutrients such as L-Glutamine and NAG are a few possible options.

LONG TERM RELIEF:
An Asyra screening is now available to identify allergens and food sensitivities. At the same time, you receive a digital homeopathic remedies to teach the body to respond to perceived offenders in a normal vs. abnormal way. As a bonus, other sub-normal functioning is identified and resolved leading to optimal functioning in as little as four sessions. (Depending on individual variability, optimum function can take as many as 12 sessions, but improvements will be seen along the way. A double-blind study showed over a 90% relief of symptoms after just 4 sessions. ) Identified foods triggers identified by the Asyra screening need only be avoided for 10 days. They can then be re-introduced one at a time and eaten initially on a rotation basis.
